Realme 7 Pro (Mirror Silver, 128 GB)  (6 GB RAM)

Realme 7 Pro 6gb ram best mobile under 20000

Hey guys it’s Pushpak from Pushpak Solutions, and somehow,I managed to get the Realme 7 Pro on the launch day. This is not a review unit, I purchased it offline from one of the mobile stores in Kolkata. I didn’t just want to make an unboxing blog,so I decided to use this phone for a while, and give you guys some of my initial impressions after using it for little over 5 days.  Realme 7 Pro is companies answers to Redmi’s Note 9 Pro Max, and in some ways it also takes a few shots at the POCO X2. So what does 7 Pro exactly offer. Before we check that out, if you are new to this blog, or if you just haven’t subscribed yet, make sure to hit the subscribe button and follow our facebook page. That way, we will make sure you are notified,as a new blog goes live on this channel.

Realme 7 pro unboxing

Since I didn’t make a dedicated unboxing video, here’s a quick look at what all do you get in the box. There’s the phone itself, a transparent thin flexible TPU case, Some paperwork, SIM tray election pin, Usb type A to Type C cable, and the star of the show 65 watt SuperDart charging brick. I called this charger the star of the show, because we have never seen such charging speeds on a 20,000Rs smartphone. I did manage to run the battery on this phone down to 7%, and this charger took just 31 minuets to get it from there to 100%. It is insanely fast. Now make sure to use the included cable to get these charging speeds. You won’t get same charging speed with any other charging cable. This phone supports 18 watt fast charging via a compatible power delivery charger as well.

This the is the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant in Mirror Silver colour, which I got for Rs.19,999. The 8 GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs.21,999. Rs.20,000 for the base variant is a lot of money, so should you spend your hard earned money on the Realme 7 Pro?  Let’s find out.

Realme has finally brought in a new design to the back of this phone. After having used Gorilla Glass back on the Realme 6 Pro, they have gone back to using plastic for the back of this Realme 7 Pro. Fortunately they went with the frosted glass or itched glass like finish to the plastic back. So while it might not feel as premium in hand as phone with a glass back, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. I actually like the way light reflects off of this back, and unless you tell people that its a plastic frame and back, I am sure they will assume its a glass back. There are pros and cons of using Plastic back instead of glass. Number 1 con is that, it doesn’t feel as premium. The Pros are that, plastic back makes the phone lighter, it is not as pros to scratches as glass, and you won’t have to worry about the back shattering if the phone falls on its back. Which makes the overall phone much more durable.

realme 7 pro display

Now the Realme 7 Pro is not a small phone by any means, but with a 6.4 inch display, it is compact compared to some of the other phones. And this makes it fit a bit better in my hands. Despite of packing in a 4500 mAh battery,it doesn’t feel too bulky. It is still not a 1 handed device, at least not for me. But it has a more manageable form factor. Speaking of the display, its a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, and a 60Hz refresh rate. While some people are considering it a downgrade over the 90Hz LCD display of the Realme 6 Pro, I think this AMOLED panel looks much better, with punchy colours amazing contrast levels and great viewing angles. Leaving the bottom chin which is a bit bigger on this phone, other bezels all around are pretty much comparable to other smartphones in this price range. I know most of you guys would have loved to get 90Hz refresh rate on this AMOLED screen, but then the phone would have been priced much higher than what it is right now. That would have also brought in some other unwanted issues like the weird colour tint or black bars near the punch hole camera cutout. So honestly, right now this is one of the best displays you are getting at under Rs.20,000 .

It is great for consuming content on Youtube , Netflix or any other streaming service, and its also amazing for playing games. Amazon and Netflix both support Full HD playback on this phone. Speaking of consuming media, this phone gets a dual speaker stereo setup. Having stereo speakers give you a more immersive experience while watching videos. Bottom speaker is obviously the louder one,but the bigger earpiece speaker also does a pretty good job. Since it’s a plastic back, you do feel the whole back of the phone vibrating if you are listing to songs at full volume. If you don’t want to disturb others by listen to the audio via the speakers, this phone gets a 3.5mm headphone jack which supports high resolution audio as well.

Unlike most of the other budget smartphones,Realme 7 Pro doesn’t get s physical side mounted fingerprint sensor. Since its an AMOLED display, they were able to put the optical fingerprint sensor under the display. Granted that it is not as fast as the physical fingerprint sensor, but it looks much more futuristic, in my opinion. That being said, I still prefer a physical fingerprint sensor for its speed. Speaking of speed, the face unlock is much faster than the fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. It is so fast, that sometimes I wonder if its even working properly or not. So I have it turned off, and I just use the in display fingerprint sensor instead.

realme 7 pro processor

Coming to the internals, the Realme 7 Pro packs in Snapdragon 720G processor, coupled with Adreno 618 GPU. 6 or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage, with a dedicated microSD card expansion slot. All of this is backed up by a 4500 mAh non removable battery, which supports 65 watt fast charging. Now the processor hasn’t been upgraded, but by now, we all know, the performance of this processor has been more than adequate in the phones that we have seen it in, till now. All these internals are held together with Realme UI, which is built on top of Android 10. I haven’t given this Android skin a try in a long time, but Realme seems to have refined it a lot since I last used it. There are still many preinstalled apps, all of which you can uninstall by the way, but as a whole UI, it still looks much cleaner. The icons are not as bad, there is Google screen on the left most page, instead of Realme smart Assistant, there are no banned apps preinstalled, animations are snappy, and overall navigation feels smoother. I will need to use it for longer to see how I feel about it, but so far I am not disappointed by it. Something that annoyed me is that this scanning page showed up, every-time I installed any app. I really don’t know why its there, and I did not find a way to disable it. I was very annoying to have this appear for every app that you install.

Realme 7 pro camera 1

Next up, cameras. This phone gets 5 cameras in all. 4 on its back, and 1 at the front. Primary camera at the back gets a 64 megapixel Sony IMX682 sensor with F/1.8 aperture and a 26mm lens. Next one has an 8 megapixel sensor with F/2.3 aperture and 16mm ultra wide lens. Followed by a 2 megapixel macro camera with F/2.4 aperture and another 2 megapixel black and white depth sensor again with F/2.4 aperture.

At the front, it gets a 32 megapixel camera with F/2.5 aperture and a 25mm lens. I did take a few images with the cameras, and so far I like what I see.
Realme 7 pro front camera

So given all this, the Realme 7 Pro feels like a very capable phone at its price point. The cameras have been upgraded, the look and feel is better then the Realme 6 Pro (according to me), AMOLED display is a step up, performance including RAM management has been good so far, the 4500 mAh battery easily lasts for more than a day, and the insanely fast 65watt charger is just a treat. If you are considering to get new phone under Rs.20,000, and you prefer a more manage phone which doesn’t feel like a mammoth brick in the hands, I feel the Realme 7 Pro might be your best bet right now. The only other phone that I might recommend other than this is the POCO X2, but then again, it is over 6 months old now, and the Realme7 Pro is the newer offering. So there you have it guys some of my initial thoughts about the Realme 7 Pro, after having used it for 5 days.
